systems14-das programm

A poster on Braun Design for ‘systems14' exhibition, the first in Asia curated by das programm and produced in association with Braun.

When we look into our own Asian roots we realise, in many aspects, the evolution of Chinese character logograms mirror the systematic and rigorous form reduction approach in Braun Design. We sought to express this by deconstruct and rearrange systematically various Braun design elements as typographic parts to produce the Chinese characters “東西”, which means ‘East’ and ‘West’ respectively, and as a phrase together they mean ‘Object’, a genre the Braun design is most known for.

The poster can also be seen as an allusion to the universality of Braun Design principles transcending cultural boundaries.

Both characters are constructed from precisely 14 Braun interaction design elements, as our subtle nod to this edition title, systems14.

讚美我們的星球海報-巴黎平面設計節

2015年1月7日到3月4日，法國文化推廣活動——巴黎平面設計節，在各個巴黎文化機構展開。韓家英受邀參加巴黎平面設計節“讚美我們的星球”主題海報邀請展。

The “fête du graphite” relevant to the French culture was held in various cultural institutions of Pairs from this January to March. Han Jiaying was invited to participate in this theme poster exhibition - “Celebrate our planet”. The main concept of the poster is to represent the harmony of the human being, society and nature. The word ”Xiang” in Chinese means embracing everything, so based on the shape of this word to build the concept which is coexistence of everything on the planet in keeping with the theme. With the combination of Chinese ink painting and contemporary design language, it aimed to present the beauty of our planet.
