第 58 屆葛萊美獎甫公佈了入圍名單，來自康普頓的饒舌歌手 Kendrick Lamar 在 9 類獎項當中共入圍了 11 項，是今年的大熱，他的入圍專輯《To Pimp a Butterfly》也同時位列今年滾石雜誌榜單的第一名。

憑〈Can't Feel My Face〉大紅的 The Weeknd 與 Taylor Swift 並列入圍了 7 項，其他如 Drake 入圍了 5 項，Alabama Shakes 入圍了 4 項；久未發片的 D'Angelo 在去年底的回歸大作《Black Messiah》也入圍了 3 項。

Mark Ronson、Ed Sheeran 皆不意外地獲得了提名，今年竄起的澳洲女唱作人 Courtney Barnett 也出現在名單上則是一大驚喜，與唱〈All About That Bass〉的 Meghan Trainor、被戲稱「抄襲」〈島嶼天光〉的 James Bay 同列在最佳新人上！

回頭看看獨立樂迷關心的「最佳另類專輯獎」，包括了 Alabama Shakes、Björk、My Morning Jacket、Tame Impala 及 Wilco，競爭激烈。其他類型音樂獎也不乏精彩的對決，譬如「最佳舞曲/電子獎」出現了 Jamie xx、Caribou、The Chemical Brothers、Disclosure 與 Skrillex & Diplo；「最佳饒舌專輯獎」則有 J. Cole、Dr. Dre、Drake、Kendrick Lamar 與 Nicki Minaj。
第 58 屆葛萊美獎頒獎典禮，預計將在明年 2 月 15 日在洛杉磯舉辦。
