二喜設計有限公司-久,KU
傳統糕餅是台灣文化的瑰寶,然而百年的糕餅木模技藝逐漸式微。糕餅無法被永久保存,但透過木模圖騰,能了解當下台灣庶民的生活面貌、文化意涵與先人智慧。我們以傳統糕餅模為主題,融入現代手法,設計實用的瓷器,期待讓傳統文化再次被重視及珍惜。

設計理念:
創意來自糕餅粿食之一的紅龜粿,「龜」台語與「久」發音相近,慶典上代表祈求綿延不絕、河山長壽。台灣人深信唯有追求永恆才能擁有財富與功名,「紅龜粿」因此成為台灣年節、禮俗儀式的象徵。大龜、中龜、小龜象徵著生命綿延不過絕。
使用功能:
系列品項包含大小淺盤與筷架,適合輕食、茶食糕點之食器使用,亦可用來作為擺飾觀賞之文化目的。

視覺美感:
龜紋是粿食最常使用的圖案,「龜」代表祈求長壽之意,而「壽」為五福之首。龜背上的回字紋為視覺焦點,簡約而生動的呈現烏龜形體活靈活現的雕刻藝術。色彩跳脫傳統紅色,採用粉、藍、綠、黃多彩的色系,具現代感並呈現活潑的視覺效果。
製程特色:
取用傳統糕餅模的紅龜粿圖紋,與鶯歌專業的雕模師合作開發模具,採用潔白的瓷土灌漿成形,素燒後由設計師親自繪彩,多層次的手刷上釉,再局部的擦拭陽刻線條。經1230度高溫燒製完成,作品呈現色彩的層次感與手作質感。

Traditional pastry is a treasure of taiwanese culture. However, the skill of making wooden pastry mold is declining. Although cake cannot be saved permanently, through totems of pastry molds, we can realize taiwanese people’s life, culture and wisdom of ancestor. For the reason, we take traditional pastry mold as design concept, and try to use modern design vocabulary and material to present practical porcelain tableware. Through this design thinking, we hope traditional culture could be appreciated again.
Design concept:
The concept is from taiwanese traditional pastry “Red turtle cake”. Taiwanese pronunciation of “turtle” is very similar to the word “long”, for the reason, worship with turtle means praying for eternal and long life. Taiwanese truly believe that the eternity is associated with wealth and fame. Red turtle cake becomes an important symbol for Taiwanese festival and worship. Large turtle, middle size turtle, and little turtle symbolize life is endless.
Product function:
The series “eternity” include plates and chopsticks holder. They are tableware for light food and pastry. At the same time, they could be artistic decoration use when they are present the other sides of them.
Visual feature:
The totem on turtle shell is often used for taiwanese traditional pastry. Turtle symbolizes long life which is the first of five good fortunes in Taiwan. The totem on turtle shell is the visual focus, it is vivid and artistic without any complicated decorations. We use colorful glazes such as pink, light blue, yellow and green instead of traditional Chinese red, in order to present modern and joyful spirit.
Production process:
We take the totem on turtle shell of traditional pastry as design elements, and corporate with carved mold specialist in Yingge for producing molds. After specialist pouring liquid porcelain clay and fire to bisque, designers apply glazes to the bisques. Hand brushing multi layers of glaze on bisques, we wipe the glaze of Yan carving lines. The final works present layering colors and handmade feeling after fire it to 1230 degree.
